Sewing Techniques 1 & 2 | 1 October, 10:00 – 14:00

1 day course: Thursday daytime | 10:00 – 14:00

This 4 hour short course covers a number of essential sewing techniques and tips for beginner and novice sewers. Try each one and complete a reference sampler with examples of each technique. A great place to start, gain skills and confidence to apply to your future projects.

Techniques include: 

Session 1

• Standard seam
• Standard hem 
• Threading sewing machine 
• Changing needles + feet
• Hand stitched hem 
• Flower stitcher 
• Double needle 

Session 2

• Types of feet and how to use them 
• Overlocker 
• Blind hem 
• French seam 
• Flat felled seam
