Pojagi style stained glass curtain | 16 September – 7 October, 18:00 – 20:00

4 week course: Wednesday Evenings | 18:00 – 20:00

Learn how to sew double-sided flat-felled seams to create a beautiful double-sided window dressing with a subtle, glowing, stained glass effect. This patchworking technique traditionally found in Korean Pojagi textiles works best with linens, light cottons or translucent fabrics to allow light to pass through the piece whilst highlighting the structure created by double-sided seams. Textile tutor Lucy of Dora Studio will guide you through the process to mindfully make your own uniquely formed composition over 4 evenings. You’ll plan the layout of your design, experiment with colour, transparency and composition, and construct your curtain before choosing either a tab-top or pole-sleeve hanging finish. Along the way, you’ll build confidence using a sewing machine while learning practical techniques that can be applied to future patchwork and garment-making projects.

Perfect for beginners and confident sewists alike, this mindful workshop celebrates the creative potential of fabric offcuts and conscious making. Bring your own scraps or a selection of fabrics of your choice.
