Scrappy Halloween: Make, Mend & Transform | 24 October, 10:00 – 13:00

Get creative this Halloween and make something spooky from what you already have.

Scrappy Halloween is a relaxed, drop-in making session where anything goes. Bring along an old Halloween costume and give it a new lease of life by fixing, mending or transforming it into something new.

Don’t have a costume? No problem. We’ll have a selection of old bed sheets ready to turn into spooky ghost costumes, along with plenty of scraps and materials to get creative with.

You could make:

• Ghost costumes from old bed sheets
• Bat wings or cat ears – bring your own headband and make a simple Halloween accessory
• Spooky bunting from fabric scraps
• Halloween badges and other wearable decorations
• Table decorations that can be reused year after year
• Knitted ladders and spiderwebs on our knitting machine to add to costumes or decorations

There’s no set project to follow, so you can make something from our materials, bring something from home to work on, or just come along and see what you can create.

This is a chance to make, mend, reuse and experiment – whether you’re updating an old costume, making something for the first time or creating decorations for Halloween.

All ages welcome. No previous making experience needed.

Free to attend, but please book your place so we know how many people are coming and can get plenty of spooky-making materials ready!
