A Creative Hub in the Heart of Leith

A not-for-profit social enterprise, Edinburgh Open Workshop supports a vibrant community of over 200 makers, designers and creatives – from furniture makers and welders to leatherworkers, jewellers, and set builders. Our fully equipped workshops offer open-access wood, metal, and DIY facilities, complete with professional tools, machinery, and fabrication bays.

We also offer CNC and laser-cutting services for both small-scale commissions and large creative projects, including merchandising, prop and set builds, and bespoke signage. Recent collaborations include projects with Campervan Brewery, Dundee Repertory Theatre, Barnton Bunker, and Gweilo at Edinburgh Street Food.

Learn, Create and Connect

Our classes and workshops run throughout the year, welcoming everyone from complete beginners to seasoned professionals.
