1 day course: Friday daytime | 10:00 – 14:00

This 4 hour short course covers essential garment techniques and sewing tips for beginner and novice sewers interested in making clothing. Leave with a reference sampler containing the best examples of each technique, hands-on skills and confidence to tackle your next garment sewing project.

Techniques include: 

Session 1

• Sewing a dart
• Box Pleat 
• Sewing a curve 
• Snap fastenings 
• Gathering to make ruffles

Session 2

• Button holes (automatic)
• Patch pocket 
• Top Stitching 
• Basic Zip
