After four hugely successful years, we’re delighted to invite venues, studios, galleries, makers and creative organisations to be part of Leith Creative Trail 2026.

This year, we’re extending the Trail to two full weeks for the very first time. Following feedback from our venue community, this new format gives participants greater flexibility to choose opening days and times that suit them, while creating a more collaborative and inclusive experience across Leith.

Rather than concentrating activity into a single week, the extended Trail encourages visitors to explore more venues over a longer period, helping spread footfall and giving every participant the opportunity to shine.

To kick things off, Edinburgh Open Workshop will host a launch social on Friday 27 November, bringing together participating venues and creatives for an informal evening of networking, collaboration and celebration before the Trail begins.

Last year’s Trail demonstrated the incredible impact of Leith’s creative community:

• 40,000 estimated venue visits
• 475 creative practitioners involved
• 200,000+ organic Instagram impressions
• 95% of venues returned the following year
• 100% of venues reported increased footfall
• Individual venues welcomed between 120 and 2,000 visitors
