Another new face in the workshop
Introducing, Niamh, our shiny new Workshop Apprentice!
The first to take part in our 6-month program, we are excited to have her join us in the workshop and see all that she brings to the table.
Niamh is an Irish visual artist and maker. After graduating with a degree in Fine Art Applied Materials at NCAD in Dublin, she moved to Edinburgh to work within the creative sector. Niamh has showcased her visual art at many festivals and exhibitions, with a focus on painting, paper-cut work, textiles and sculpture.
She will spend the next few weeks undergoing some basic training as well as taking part in our advanced Intro to Welding, Intro to Laser Cutting and CNC Training before being deployed towards helping out our members with their projects.
So, if you need a second set of hands to paint, sweep or sand down your project – give Niamh a shout!
Special thanks to a Kickstart Scheme Employment Grant for making this role possible.
