We are an innovative, creative co-working space, offering membership based, Pay-As-You-Go access to workshop facilities, machinery, power tools, hand tools, workbenches, fabrication  space, textile bays and long-term resident maker space, studios, and office space. A not-for-profit social enterprise that is expanding, we are Edinburgh’s only open-access workshop, supporting a community of over 300 hobbyist and professional makers, designers, and creatives. 

General Workshop Apprentice
Location: Edinburgh, Leith
Contract: Part-Time, 6-Month Contract (potential for extension)
Closing Date: Midday Monday 7 February
Eligibility: To apply for this job, you must be claiming Universal Credit and 21 to 24 years old.

This apprentice program is possible thanks to a Kickstart Scheme Employment Grant aimed at helping young adults get started in a career path.

The Role:
EOW has a small, close-knit, and dedicated team and we are looking for someone friendly, smart, and motivated to train with us as a General Workshop Apprentice; to undertake a structured program of study and workshop work to gain the required skills and knowledge necessary to become a skilled scenic carpenter in your own right and with the necessary skills to support the operational requirements of a busy workshop.
