Join print artist, Katie Charleson, and learn the key techniques involved in screen printing textiles, sewing, and quilting all while upcycling fabric from your own home. Play with intuitive design as you decorate and embellish your old fabrics into a beautiful, abstract quilt or wall hanging made entirely by you! 

This includes:

• how to prepare your own designs ready for the screen
• transferring your design onto screen using our equipment
• preparing fabric and setting up your print, and mixing inks and their properties
• how to layout fabrics, trying out different compositions
• how to piece quilt top pieces with a domestic machine, as well as bast quilt top and bottom batting together
• making and attaching binding, and doing corners for a lovely finish
• lots of time to practice your print technique and get a bit inky!

Katie will be on hand to give you tips and tricks of the trade and offer 1-2-1 advice specific to what you’d like to achieve, so you leave super inspired and ready to take your work to the next stage!
