NEWS

shop local | shop small | support artists & makers

The EOW Charity Makers Market is back! This year we will be supporting Earth In Common.

Call For Makers

Saturday, 8 June | 10:00 – 16:00

EOW will once again open its workshop doors to showcase local artists and makers, whilst also supporting ‘Earth In Common‘ in our annual Spring Charity Makers Market.

Earth In Commons vision is to integrate urban crofts in Edinburgh (and further a field) to generate community, solidarity and well-being, strengthen the local economy, and contribute to community wealth building and skill-training. They aim to share this idea with communities across Scotland to help them reclaim derelict urban green spaces to establish urban crofts as together, they believe empowered urban communities could play a vital part in our move to food sovereignty.

Want to take part? There is still space available to become one of our featured artist/makers – available spaces include:

    • Single Open Area Table (no temporary structure): £30 (£35 with donation to EIC)

    • Shared Half Bay (3 mx 3m space, table + temporary wall): £40 (£45 with donation to EIC)

    • Individual Full Bay (3m x 3m space, 2 tables + temporary wall): £80 (£85 with donation to EIC)

Instead of money donation to ‘Earth In Common’, we would also happily accept a donation to the charity raffle.

If you wish to participate, simply fill out an EOW Stall Application 2024 by Monday 6th May 2024.

The market is community focused and we generally find a average price point of £40 – £150 sells the best.

Be ready to include:

  • 6 high quality/resolution photos of your work
  • short bio about yourself and your work
  • any links to social media, website, or any platform you would use for selling and displaying your work
