Doors Open Day – What is it all about ?
What is Doors Open Day ?
‘Doors Open Days is Scotland’s largest free festival that celebrates heritage and the built environment. It offers free access to over a thousand venues across the country each September.
The aim of Doors Open Days is to ensure that Scotland’s spaces and stories, new and old, are made accessible to people living and visiting the country.’
What will be happening?
- Tours on the hour from 11.00 to 15.00.
- £5 ‘have a go’ sessions on the laser cutter.
- Free woodturning and CNC demonstrations.
It’s also a great opportunity to meet our resident makers, all of whom are very talented and interesting. They will either be plodding around the workshop or will have set up their area as a little informative / promotional space about their business.
We are really excited to show folk around and discuss all the exciting projects our space can help the community achieve.
What else can is open on Doors Open Day ?
There are many interesting buildings and businesses open that the general public don’t usually have access to. Three of the places top of our hit list are:
