EOW Updates – and Opening Dates!
EOW Community,
Well, it’s been a (insert your adjective of choice) year. Our first post about Covid-19 and lockdown had no idea what was coming, but was hopeful for the best for us and for our members.
With Scotland’s next round of easing restrictions starting soon, we thought it was the right time to let you know where we’re at, and show you where we’re heading.
Firstly, we are excited to say the time has come to make plans…or at least aspirations of plans! For the full list of phases, see in the chart to your right – but here is an immediate future breakdown:
- April 5th – Open for on-site tours, and new-member sign ups
- *April 19th – Advance Booking will open online through our new booking system
- April 26th – EOW will open up for all members, per government guidelines
- May 1st – Classes will return, and booking open for new sessions
We’ve missed seeing you all around the workshop, and are excited to see you all come back – but we have not been idle in your absence. In the last year, EOW has created 2 new resident makers bays, built a fully enclosed spray booth on our paint floor, bought a CNC machine (which then created all the fancy new signage the shop), changed the layout of the front office to account for a consumables shop, designed a new website/booking system, and hired two dedicated staff positions.
All of this was done through support of generous funders who have allowed us to not only survive, but offer support to our resident members, and develop building and programming changes to benefit all our members. We want to take a second to say a massive thank you to:

With so much uncertainty for the future, one thing we do know for sure is that we are committed to remaining flexible and hopeful that we keep bringing you good news, and good opportunities.
