Repoussé is a method used to decorate metals by way of hammers and punches. The name repoussé is derived from the French pousser, “to push forward.” This is an ancient technique, which has been used extensively throughout the history of metalworking. You work both sides of the metal to create a low relief of your chosen design. The process is therapeutic and offers the possibility of fantastic results.
In this workshop we will be working with copper and all the tools and equipment are supplied for you. No previous experience is necessary but will require concentration and a lot of hammering!
EOW adheres to all current health and safety guidance around in-person classes, with compulsory PPE, distancing, and hygiene measures in place to ensure the health and safety of our program participants.
