Description
Design and make your own printed fabrics in a weekend! Whether you want bespoke material for a sewing project, to design your own line of textile prints, or just to have fun playing with patterns, this course will give you the skills you need to design and produce your own fabrics. Join textile artist, Kate Livingstone, and learn new skills and explore making different placement and all-over designs for a tote bag. When you’ve printed your fabric with a final design of your own creation, Kate will sew it into a fully lined, durable cotton tote for you to take away after the end of the course. A unique, statement item designed entirely by you!
For this weekend workshop, you will:
- learn screen printing with stencils and mono printing
- develop your designs
- print your own fabric by hand
- learn how to design and print your own fabrics digitally (and how to get them printed and delivered)!
