To avoid overusing the word ‘new’ in our blog posts we took the time to dust off our workshop thesaurus for some different options. Guess what its first offering was …’brand new.’

So, with that in mind we are here to tell you about some exciting, ‘Not Old’ information – EOW is ready to expand again!

If you are meeting us for the first time, EOW is an innovative, creative co-working space, offering membership-based access to a variety of workshop facilities, studios, machinery, tools, to both Pay-As-You-Go Members and long-term ‘Resident Makers’. As a not-for-profit social enterprise we believe in supporting artists/makers and creative business, which means ensuring that we keep our space, tools, learning accessible to all.

Being Edinburgh’s only open-access workshop, we support a community of over 300 hobbyist and professional makers, designers, and creatives. Our Members range from hobbyists tinkering on small home projects to corporates designing and manufacturing for niche markets with everything in between. 

We are looking for a collaborative and creative Membership Engagement & Marketing Officer to join our small close-knit group.

Salary: £21,450

If so, then this could be the role for you!

The Role: Will champion the work of EOW and of its membership body. They will have a working knowledge of the creative sector, its joys and its challenges and ideas for making the best of both. They will be involved in building member networks, developing new communication routes and tools and increasing overall engagement. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build on their existing knowledge, skills and experience in a small, friendly and busy team. 

We would like our new team member to develop and deliver a member engagement programme with regular communication, information sharing and networking opportunities; through marketing activity, membership communications and materials, targeted campaigns and digital media. The goal is to drive sustainable growth, increasing the breadth and depth of the support services we offer and forging strong relationships with all our members (new and existing).
